Boarding & Training
Lyday Farms’ programs are designed to fit a broad range of equine training and boarding needs. We are dedicated not only to helping your horse achieve optimum condition, but also to its health and well being. We strive to provide the very best in equine nutrition to all horses that reside at the farm and feed only the best quality hay and grains. As an integral part of our nutritional program every horse is fed four times a day. We believe this is of great importance since horses are natural grazers and this schedule best matches their natural feeding behavior. Depending on each horse’s needs, natural supplements provided by Blue Ridge Distribution are incorporated into each horse’s diet. Therefore, if your horse requires hoof or joint supplements, this added special care is included in basic stall or pasture boarding fees.
Lyday Farms’ training program is tailored to meet a variety of needs and specifications for each horse and owner. Our trainer, Bryan Jeffries, has over 20 years of horse experience with the last 15 years dedicated to halter training and show conditioning. Bryan evaluates each horse to determine the best course of action for their training and conditioning program and discusses these recommendations directly with the client. Monthly training includes personalized attention, daily grooming, conditioning, halter training or saddle breaking and turn out. Regular weekly clipping (face, legs and ears) is included in the monthly training fee. It is our goal to have your horse in “ready to show condition” for visitors at any time.
Please contact Bryan Jeffries for more details on our boarding and training programs.
