Stallion & Mare Services
Lyday Farms is committed to providing stallion and mares owners the very best reproductive services. During the breeding season, our professional staff works continually to provide you with every advantage in today’s competitive market. Our full time breeding manager specializes in stallion and mare reproductive care and received her Bachelor of Animal Science and Master in Equine Reproduction from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Our stallion services differ from most breeding farms in that every stallion receives individualized care including personal attention, daily turnout, grooming and exercise. We offer the following breeding services: stallion collection, cooled semen shipping, phantom training, and diet modification for increased sperm production. A new high-tech breeding lab was added in the fall of 2010 to fulfill these needs.
Full service mare care is also offered at Lyday Farms. With over ten years of experience in mare reproductive management, we offer only the best care for your mare and foal. During the breeding season mares are monitored daily for heat cycles and regular sonograms are used to determine the best timing for insemination. We strive to acquire mare pregnancies quickly and cost effectively. Foal care is also very important to us. We believe in providing expert pre-natal and post-natal care for your mare and foal. A diet suited to each mare and required general and pre-natal inoculations are provided. During the foaling season our staff is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week to insure only the highest quality of care is delivered.
