PWA Nagib Shah
(Ansata Halim Shah x Nasbah)
1994 Grey Stallion
PWA Nagib Shah could easily have just stepped out of a classic German breeding program. He is sired by the incomparable Ansata Halim shah, the Salon du Cheval Reserve World Champion Stallion who influenced Straight Egyptian horse breeding worldwide, and left an indelible stamp on Germany. PWA Nagib Shah’s dam *Nasbah is sired by the beautiful stallion Muqatamm, a stallion that can be credited with passing the strict German Performance Test. Muqatamm is both son of Ghazalah and grandson of Malikah, two of German’s most important Ghazal daughters. Nasbah’s dam is a daughter of the prolific and elegant mare Foze, imported into Germany from the Egyptian Agricultural Society by Gestut Moritzberg of Nurnberg. In Authentic Arabian Bloodstock, Judith Forbis describes Foze as, “An ideal representative of this (Hadban Enzahi through Shams) classic group. Many Americans tried to buy her from Ahmed Hamza without success.”
PWA Nagib Shah is a Substantial, well balanced, very good moving stallion. He has small tight ears and classic Arabiantype. He has an especially gentle and confident temperment, yet he is always quick to show off when prompted. To date Nagib has sired over twice as many fillies as colts, and on rare black.

Hello:
I was quiet surprised to see Muqatamm-get so far away when I kept looking for his offspring, in Germany. How beautifull he is. He does look a lot like Nadia and Muqatamm . I saw Mugatamm and Nadia when they where none and a half and two years old. Mugatamm was very gangly and agile when young. He would look around a lot and not pay attention .He was so interested to catch everything….he didn’t feel he had the time. Nadia was a skinny foal and very picky at just who would lead he. If she didn’t like someone she would step on their foot, nonchalantly. She was a Lady..Very regal. By the way ? Mr. Doemken is still around, still breeding arabians …His mare Gashidi just had a filly about a month ago.. He would probably like to hear of how grandson Nagib Shah as grandget , is doing .
Many Greetings from ‘ole Germany.

Thanks for all the nice comments! We are really proud of Nagib and happy to have him as part of our family! I always appreciate hearing about Nagib’s ancestors and really enjoyed your post Maria about Nagib’s grandmother, etc. Thank you for sharing! Fatma or Maria-If you have any pictures of Nadia and Muqatamm I would love to see them. I always like getting to see different pictures of his ancestors than what I have been able to find.
We are really excited for upcoming 2012 breeding season! We had two great fillies born to our clients/friends this year and are expecting a few more for next year. We hope to be able to contine to produce more foals by Nagib for many years to come.
Thanks again!
